Promoting Traditional and Healthy Foods

The first project will be to assist with a community garden, which was started a few years ago and has interested clients but has had barriers to its success.

Offer container gardening sessions to encourage those who don’t want a large garden to grow their own vegetables at home in movable containers.

Take youth and seniors out picking berries, and have the seniors show the youth how to preserve the berries and make jam.

Provide free canning and freezing workshops to the public to encourage gardening and teach them proper preserving techniques.
